Research

The Climate Geology research group maintains a large diversity of projects. We are pushing the analytical frontiers on measurements of clumped isotopes and developing new proxy approaches for reconstruction of past atmospheric CO2.

We are working to better understand past variations in global temperatures, CO2, and cycles of carbon and sulfur. We combine field-based investigations of the geological record with process-oriented studies of modern environments and laboratory experiments.
